Searching to replace the production from a record-breaking season by outgoing running back Tyler Badie, the Mizzou Football team secured a commitment from one of Division II's top runners. St. Louis native Cody Schrader committed to the program as a preferred walk-on Wednesday evening.
Schrader rushed for a D-II leading 2,074 yards at Truman State in 2021. He averaged 172.8 yards per game for the Bulldogs and scored 25 rushing touchdowns. He was a Division II All-American and the co-Offensive Player of the Year in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Schrader was a four year starter at Lutheran South High School in St. Louis. He rushed for 6,759 yards and 99 touchdowns in high school. He scored an additional 5 receiving touchdowns in his high school as well.
