Overview

Home of the Lancers

Named one of the top athletic programs for small schools, Lutheran South fields more than 40 teams in 16 different sports. The Lancers compete in the Metro Athletic League, which includes Lutheran North, John Burroughs, Westminster, Principia, MICDS, Priory, and Whitfield. In addition to league play, our student-athletes and teams compete against other St. Louis metro-area private and public schools and participate at the highest levels in both conference and state postseason competition.

Our Athletes

The Lancers compete in more than 400 contests during the year. Many of our student-athletes choose to compete in two or even three sports. They are supported by their coaches and teammates as they develop skills and excel. Our top athletes often earn college athletic scholarships and are highly sought after because of their grades and test scores. Lancer teams have won numerous championships over the years at the Conference, District, and State levels.

Lutheran South is a member of the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) and is governed by its constitution and by-laws. We are committed to the Christian character development of our student-athletes while providing a positive learning experience and opportunities for personal growth. Our athletic programs and coaches will exhibit and encourage accountability, commitment, respect, sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal excellence.
