Mr. Butterfield accepted the call to serve as Principal to Lutheran South in 2018. Prior to South, he served as the Middle School Principal and then Executive Director at Christ Community Lutheran School for 11 years. He is a Van Lunen Fellow, graduating in 2017 after receiving world-class, Christian school, executive training.
Mr. Butterfield attended Concordia University Texas, where he completed his Education degree and played baseball, soccer, and golf. He earned his master's degree in School Leadership at Concordia University Chicago.
Mr. Butterfield and his family attend the Lutheran Church of Webster Gardens.
He and his wife, Leanna, have five children, Madison, Samuel, Hudson, Savannah, and Sadie.
When he is not envisioning how Lutheran South can thrive for future generations to come, he enjoys playing and watching sports and spending time with his family.
