The Lutheran South Theology Academy provides opportunities for students to deepen their faith by encouraging and preparing them theologically and experientially for a Christ-centered vocation in service and leadership to the church.
OVERVIEW
Aligning with the Set Apart to Serve church worker initiative, Lutheran South offers an academy designed to guide students to explore and prepare for a potential career in church work. Students who complete the academy curriculum will receive a special certification on their diplomas designating that they have completed an additional course of study in preparation for church work. The course of study is divided into three essential categories: formal theological growth, service/vocational growth, and personal faith development. Each year students participate in various activities designed to walk them along the path to discovering the wide variety of possible careers in service to Christ’s church.
The Kaleo Academy is open to all students, regardless of denominational affiliation.
