Become a Lancer

Find your place here

Welcome to Lutheran High School South, home of the Lancers. Lutheran South is a co-educational, private, Christian school serving more than 600 students in grades 9 through 12 from 63 different zip codes.

At Lutheran South, students are more than their ACT score, their place on a team, or their chair in the band. Students are reminded daily that their true identity is as a child of God. Lutheran South sees the big picture – a picture of faith formation combined with academic rigor. We pride ourselves on providing leadership opportunities for students in worship, in the classroom, and in service to others.

We blend a strong college prep curriculum with opportunities for co-curricular, service, and athletic activities to help you mature and grow as a young Christian. We’re large enough to provide many different opportunities for you to explore, yet small enough for you to find your niche. Together with your church and family, we help you grow in your faith, develop your strengths, and meet the challenge of new opportunities.

St. Louis is rich in private high school options. The challenge is finding the best fit for you.
Please contact our Admissions Team at 314-833-1088 for more information or to set up a visit.
The best way to see what we are all about is to experience it for yourself. Live Like a Lancer is a half-day experience where you will attend classes, connect with current students, and get a true sense of what it means to learn, grow, and belong at Lutheran South.
Over 50% of LuSo students receive financial aid in one way or another. Because each family is unique, we hope you take the time to meet with us and apply. Assistance is available through scholarships and need-based support. Financial aid applications open in August.
Applications are open. The early application deadline is November 15. Early acceptance letters are mailed in December. Students celebrate Decision Day in February. Our application process is managed online, and we're happy to help you every step of the way.
